Question. I installed the license but got an error code (102, 103, 104, 105, 106). What's wrong?

Answer. Your license is not compatible with the installed software. Please do the following:

Question. My email address has changed. Can you update it in the PTLens database?

Answer. Licenses are keyed by the email address at time of purchase. Just remember this address and no change is necessary.

Question. When will you calibrate my lens?

Answer. Calibrations for lenses are based on images submitted by users. For calibration image requirements please read the Calibration section at the PTLens web site.

Fisheye lenses do not need calibration. To correct distortion from fisheye lenses choose the Fisheye button in the PTLens dialog box and move the sliders. PTLens will remember this setting so you only need to make this adjustment once. For more details visit menu Help > PTLens Help and read section User Guide > Adjustments > Fisheye Distortion.

Question. How do I prevent out-of-memory errors when using the PTLens Photoshop plug-in?

Answer. Open one image at a time and be sure you are working with out-of-camera images and not images that have been processed or resized. In Photoshop CS3 choose Edit > Preferences > Performance and let Photoshop use 85-95% of memory. For older versions of Photoshop choose Edit > Preferences > Memory & Image Cache and specify 85-95% for Memory Usage.

Question. I own a Nikon D3 and I'm unable to select my lens in the Lens drop-down box. What's wrong?

Answer. With the D3 you can choose FX (full frame) or DX (small frame) on your camera. Calibrations in PTLens are based on images submitted by users. If the calibration is based on an image taken with a small frame camera (such as the D300) then it may be used when the D3 is set to DX. If the D3 is set to FX then calibrations must be based on an images taken with a full frame camera (such as the D3 FX). When processing D3 images be sure to choose FX or DX, as appropriate, in the Model drop-down list. If you wish to contribute images so I can calibrate for the larger sensor please read the Calibration section at the PTLens web site.

Question. I paid for PTLens but have not received my license. Where is it?

Answer. Email is sent as soon as funds clear PayPal. Sometimes email gets lost. To download your license please click here.
